- Confidentiality: Our technician exercises strict professional confidentiality. Personal files on your hard drive are never opened or inspected unless specifically necessary to verify file recovery success in your presence.
- Data Recovery: When contracted for data recovery, recovered files are transferred directly onto customer-provided external hard drives or USB media. We do not maintain off-site copies or backups of your recovered files.
- Zero Cloud Syncing: Customer drives are never cloned to external cloud servers or unauthorized digital repositories.
5. Scam Remediation & Forensic Investigation Privacy
When assisting victims of unsolicited phone scams or remote access fraud (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer, malicious browser extensions):
- Technicians inspect system logs and registry run keys strictly locally on your machine to verify malware removal.
- No banking passwords, session cookies, two-factor codes, or online banking screens are ever recorded or retained by our technician.
- Upon completion of the forensic purge, we strongly advise you to reset all banking credentials from the newly certified clean machine or an independent secure device.
6. Data Security & Record Storage
We implement comprehensive physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your administrative contact details against loss, unauthorized access, or disclosure:
- Digital invoices and service histories are maintained in encrypted, password-protected accounting software in accordance with Australian statutory tax obligations (Australian Taxation Office 5-year retention requirements).
- Any temporary physical notes taken on-site (such as Wi-Fi network names provided by you during printer setup) are securely destroyed upon completion of the setup.
